Abstract
We consider a NOMA-aided hybrid satellite-terrestrial free space optical (FSO) model is for the downlink transmission of signals. The main purpose is to analyze the error performance concerning bit error rate (BER). The performance is majorly dependent on the channel links present in the proposed system. The FSO channel link, connecting the relay and destination, is supposed to observe the Gamma-Gamma distribution while the other satellite relay link channel present is considered to obey the Shadowed-Rician distribution. The approximate BER expressions are derived and the behaviour of the system model is noticed by varying the atmospheric conditions and the shadowing environments of the channel links.
