Focusing on green environment and depletion of fossil fuels the world has move towards green transportation. The plug in electric vehicles plays a major role to reach successful green environment. Many number of Electric Vehicle owners are comfortable with only residential home chargers for charging their vehicle instead of public charger. The residential charger is very safety, compact and ease of use. At the same time peoples showing interest in smart and intelligent charger during use. The charger should do some intelligent work like Mobile application integration, charger management system, Internet of things deployment, charging cost calculation and etc. In this paper novel smart charger design was discussed.
