This book is an account of the author's evaluation and management of retinal detachment, aimed at the ophthalmologist in training and the general ophthalmologist with more than a passing interest in this subject. The work reflects the experiences, observations, and surgical techniques of the author and is not intended to serve as a comprehensive text on the subject of retinal detachment surgery. Rather, this book is best viewed as an outline of lecture notes, complemented with a good working bibliography at the conclusion of each of the five chapters.
