Abstract
The article offers information on the Islamic jewelry contained in the Nasser D. Khalili Collection of Islamic Art in London, England. A large proportion of the jewelry originated in Iran and Afghanistan. The collection consists of gold granulated filigree, Fatimid period rings, bracelets, pendants and earrings. Also represented are early Ottoman pieces in granulated silver-gilt, with jade cartouches inlaid with gold, and Moroccan items containing emeralds from the New World. About 618 finger rings also form part of the jewelry collection.
