Abstract
The article presents information on several prisoners-of-war who tried to escape from Camp 165 in the village of Watten in Caithness, Scotland. It says that a young prisoner who broke out of the camp on August 27, 1945 was still found and returned to the camp after just 10 hours of freedom. In 1946, the three prisoners who tried to escape have been found hiding in an abandoned house at the top of Swiney Hill.
