Abstract
The article examines the current position of photodynamic therapy and its possible impact in the near future. Photodynamic therapy has several benefits compared to other conventional treatments, with the main attraction being the lack of scarring. It is hoped that photodynamic therapy will provide effective local-anesthetic day-care procedures for various lesions that currently need inpatient treatment under general anesthesia.
