Abstract
The article reports that non oil-grade styrene butadiene rubber (SBR) prices in the Asian market have been assessed at 1,940-1,980 U.S. dollars per ton CFR (cost and freight) for southeast (SE) Asia on July 16, 2014, up by 7.4% from April 2, 2014. However, it warns that Southeast Asian SBR producers might face increased competition owing to an influx of SBR cargoes from Europe and an abundant supply of natural rubber (NR) in August 2014, which could exert a downward pressure on SBR prices.
