Abstract
The article focuses on the projected shortage of adult and pediatric hepatologists in the U.S. It emphasizing the importance for gastroenterologists and other healthcare providers to address the rising demand for liver care; the need for basic screening for viral hepatitis; and collaboration between gastroenterologists and hepatologists in managing liver diseases like hepatocellular carcinoma and metabolic dysfunction-associated liver disease.
