Abstract
The article examines the cilia, a hairlike projection from the surface of a cell from both the plants and animals. Cilia provides locomotion in free-swimming unicellular organisms. The cilia performs contraction and conduction. In addition, its cells reproduce by direct division which producing two structures where there was only one.
