Abstract
The article offers information on the pathobiology and etiology of Hepatosplenic T-cell lymphomas (HSTCL). It cites the beta symptoms of HSTCL patients which include cytopenias, hepatosplenomegaly and bone marrow infiltration in the absence of both lymphadenopathy and peripheral blood involvement. The primary role of STAT5B and STAT3 in the control of T-cell proliferative responses and accumulating evidence for their involvement in T-cell tumorigenesis is cited.
