Abstract
The article offers information on several activities in New York supported by the International Reading Association (IRA). It mentions an extremely profitable conference wherein neighboring states and Canada converged to learn more on the effective promotion of literacy at all levels. It adds that the awarding of 2010 Charlotte Award was the main event at the Author Dinner. Moreover, storytelling and free book giving were among the highlights at the Children's Literacy Fair.
