Abstract
The article discusses research on the quality of life and cognitive function following off-pump and on-pump coronary-artery bypass grafting (CABG) at 1 year. It references a study by Shengshou Hu, Ahmet Ruchan Akar et al., published in a 2013 issue of "The New England Journal of Medicine." The researchers found no significant difference in the rate or the primary composite outcome between off-pump and on-pump CABG with 12.1% and 13.3%, respectively, at 1 year.
