Abstract
The article offers information on recruitment maneuver (RM). It mentions its reference to a process of driving an intentional transient growth in transpulmonary pressure focused at insufficiently aerated alveoli of the respiratory system. An overview of its impact on oxygenation and role as rescue treatment for severe hypoxemia is also presented.
