Abstract
The article discusses the key role that a clinical nurse leader (CNL) can play. They work as a catalyst for change, working collaboratively with the entire healthcare team, including the nursing staff, healthcare providers, patient-care managers, and social workers, to ensure high-quality, safe patient care at the microsystem level. The success achieved by CNLs at Hunterdon Medical Center (HMC) in Flemington, New Jersey through combined efforts is highlighted.
