Abstract
The article discusses the coup d'état in Honduras on June 28, 2009. It states that under President Manuel Zelaya's leadership are the increase of minimum wage by more than half, acknowledgement of sexual diversity, and advancement of women's right. It is cited that the coup d'état in the country was not just a military seizure of power but an expression of traditionalist opposition to the president's domestic reforms and independent policy.
