Abstract
The article discusses the potentials of recombinant human relaxin in treating systemic sclerosis (SSc) with diffuse cutaneous involvement. It utilizes large randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled trial. Renovascular systems of patients with SSc are sensitive to changes in blood flow and other stimuli. It shows that recombinant human relaxin with subcutaneous (SC) infusion over 24 weeks is not better than placebo in improving the skin score and pulmonary conditions in patients.
