Abstract
The article provides information on a study which determined the optimum bolus dose of propofol for tracheal intubation during sevoflurane induction without neuromuscular blockade in children. The study particularly identified the dose required to provide excellent conditions for tracheal intubation following inhalational induction of anaesthesia using 5% sevoflurane without neuromuscular blockade. It enrolled 28 children requiring anaesthesia for short duration surgery.
