Abstract
The article reports on follow-up of a 26-year-old man from India who returned to New Delhi, India, from Liberia in 2014, with a certificate from the government of Liberia stating that he was cured of Ebola virus disease (EVD). Topics discussed include the results the reverse transcription polymerase chain reaction performed, and the 165 day monitoring on the patient after he was declared Ebola-free, and the need for a clear criteria for elimination and declaration of the end of an outbreak.
