Abstract
The article discusses the results of a study on the effectiveness of using Acute Kidney Injury Network criteria in the diagnosis of acute kidney injury in critically ill patients. The criteria define the values of serum creatinine and/or oliguria used in detecting acute kidney injury. The better mortality predictor of acute kidney injury was urine output than creatinine or both. Hospital mortality rates of patients with acute kidney injury are mentioned.
