Abstract
The article presents the discussion on increasing student engagement. Topics include coaches jumping to coachsplaining when it's unnecessary, and actually inhibiting professional learning; thinking for teachers creates dependence, inhibits learning, and deprofessionalizes teaching; and schools and students deserving to need teachers of being professionals.
