Abstract
The authors comment on the concerns of surgeons on the rise of mortality-mobidity of patients who underwent esophagectomy in the U.S. The authors mention the rise of mortality due to anastomotic leaks (AL). Moreover, they believe that AL can be solved through human recombinant vascular endothelium growth factor (VEGF).
