Abstract
The article focuses on the active CX3CR1 genetic variants that associated with long-term nonprogressive infection of greater than 15 years in HIV-1-infected Spanish patients. In this study it was observed that Spanish LTNPs have an increased frequency of the CX3CR1 2491 variant allele. No relation was established between the 280M variant allele and LTNP, the haplotype 2491280T was also significantly associated with LTNP.
