Abstract
The article offers two contemporary cases of prosthesis reservoirs implicated in SBO, including the first reported case of a SBO secondary to a retained AUS reservoir. Topics include examines a 75-year-old male with a history of hypertension, coronary artery disease, and IPP placement in 2001 and subsequent removal and replacement with 2-piece IPP in 2017 for device malfunction presented to the Emergency Department with drainage from a right groin wound.
