Abstract
The article presents a study to examine the role of CPM and p300 in cell MOZ-TIF2. It states that the oncogenic fusion protein MOZ-TIF2 results from reciprocal chromosomal rearrangements in the MOZ-MYST3-KAT6A gene in acute myeloid leukemia. It observers that the cell permeant calpain and cathepsin inhibitor CPI-2 blocks the effect of MOZ-TIF2 and restore CBP expression to normal levels and rescuing MOZ-TIF2 mediated gene repression.
