Abstract
B, The lymphocytes are showing positive immunostaining for EBV (original magnification × 40) using a monoclonal mouse anti-EBV latent membrane protein antibody (Dako Ltd. Cat. A biopsy from a photo-provoked papule demonstrated acanthosis, spongiosis, spongiotic bullae, and hydropic degeneration of the basal membrane. The pathogenesis of HV is poorly understood; however, an association with EBV was demonstrated.1 Furthermore, EBV-associated HV was treated with acyclovir/valacyclovir therapy followed by a good clinical response.9 In summary, we present a case of a young man with EBV-associated HV.
