Author Sanggum Li
He studied German language and literature at Pusan National University.
Upon invitation from the Heinrich Hertz Foundation,
he furthered his studies in General Literary Studies at the University of Wuppertal in Germany.
After retiring as a professor in the Department of German Language Education at the College of Education, Pusan National University,
he served as a researcher and lecturer in Asian Studies at the University of Latvia as a government scholar from Latvia.

The initial experience of language communication is akin to the emotions of first love—intense, memorable, and life-affirming. It brings energy and excitement by discovering something new in the unfamiliar.
However, The primary purpose here is the interest in how people from other countries perceive and think about the Korean language. In other words, it is an attempt to understand oneself through others.
The unique structure of Hangul, a phonetic alphabet with a scientific system; the beautiful harmony of lines and strokes that creates the aesthetic form of Hangul; and the spirit and values of the Korean people embedded within it.
