Abstract
The wired Time-sensitive network (TSN) and wireless 5G network have been widely used in industrial measurement and control systems. However, they have diffierent cominucation protocols, so that they cannot communicate directly. To address this problem, an interconnection method between 5G and TSN is proposed based on protocol conversion and clock adaptation. First, after the protocol and clock characteristics of 5G and TSN are analyzed, the corresponding protocol conversion and time synchronization adaptation methods are presented. Second, a hardware and software architecture for TSN end node and protocol conversion gateway is designed based on FPGA and Raspberry Pi. Finally, physical platform including TSN, 5G end nodes and protocol conversion gateway is constructed, and communication function and performance tests confirm the flexibility and effectiveness of the proposed interconnection method between 5G and TSN.
