Abstract
In this paper, a novel high-frequency DC transformer (DCX) converter with regulating capacity is proposed for intermediate bus architecture (IBA). The proposed scheme is composed by a dual-output DCX stage and a non-isolated dc-dc stage, where the DCX stage takes most of the power conversion and the dc-dc stage takes the voltage regulation duty. Compared with the conventional two-stage DCX solution, the proposed scheme has the advantages of higher efficiency, non-isolation control and higher system reliability. Meanwhile, it is flexible to meet the requirements of different voltage regulation range for intermediate bus converters (IBCs) by regulating the power distribution ratio. The operation principles and the design consideration of the proposed regulated DCX are analyzed in detail. Finally, a 12V/200W-output prototype is developed with different power distribution ratios, which proves the superiorities of the proposed scheme.
