Abstract
The aim of this thesis is to find the effects of writing mathematics journal on learning achievement and attitude. The research topics are as follows: First, is there a statistically significant difference in mathematics learning achievement between the experimental group progressing writing mathematics journal and the comparison group? Second, is there a statistically significant difference in mathematics learning attitude between the experimental group progressing writing mathematics journal and the comparison group? Third, is there a statistically significant difference in mathematics learning interest between the experimental group progressing writing mathematics journal and the comparison group? The results are as follows: First, writing mathematics journal was not effective in mathematics learning achievement. Second, writing mathematics journal has positive effects on mathematics learning attitude. Third, writing mathematics journal has positive effects on mathematics learning interest. Students felt a sense of accomplishment having their time to writing mathematics journal by themselves. Also, mathematics learning interest was increased through communication with teacher's comment by mathematics journal. Moreover, students seemed active attitude and confidence in mathematics learning. In conclusion, writing mathematics journal significantly arouse student's positive learning achievement and attitude.
