Abstract
현재 한국유학생이 재중 전체 유학생 중 가장 높은 비율을 차지하며, 또한 재한 중국유학생이 한국에서 수학 중인 유학생 수의 2/3정도에 이른다. 유학생들은 자신의 익숙했던 환경을 벗어나 새로운 문화에 접하며 생활하면서 전 영역에서 오는 다양한 어려움으로 심리적인 장애를 경험하게 된다. 본 연구에서는 중한 양국 유학생들을 대상으로 문화적응 유형 및 스트레스 대처방식과 심리적 안녕감 간 상호관계를 비교해 봄으로써 이를 통해 유학생들에게 보다 성공적인 유학생활이 될 수 있도록 돕고자 한다. 이처럼 본 연구의 목적은 두 가지 측면에서 그 의의를 갖는다.첫째, 재한 중국유학생과 재중 한국유학생들이 처한 현실을 보다 잘 이해하고 그들이 겪고 있는 어려움에 현명하게 대처할 수 있는 방법이 무엇인지 용이하게 인식할 것이다. 둘째, 향후 재한 중국유학생과 재중 한국유학생들을 위한 상담시스템을 설계할 때 유익한 자료가 될 것이다.본 연구에서 선정한 문제를 요약, 정리하면 다음과 같다.첫째, 중-한 유학생의 문화적응 유형, 스트레스 대처방식 및 심리적 안녕감에 차이가 있는가?둘째, 중-한 유학생의 문화적응 유형과 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계는 차이가 있는가?셋째, 중-한 유학생의 스트레스 대처방식과 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계는 차이가 있는가?넷째, 중-한 유학생의 문화적응 유형, 스트레스 대처방식과 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계는 차이가 있는가?연구를 위한 설문지는 유학생의 문화적응 유형, 스트레스 대처방식, 심리적 안녕감척도로 구성하였다. 이를 위해 한국에서 전남, 충북, 경북, 서울, 인천, 부산 지역 정규대학에 재학 중인 중국유학생 365명을 대상으로, 중국에서는 산동성에 있는 제남, 연태, 위해, 유방, 치박 지역에 정규대학 재학 중인 한국유학생 323명을 대상으로 2014년 11월에 설문을 실시하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다.첫째, 문화적응 유형, 스트레스 대처방식 및 심리적 안녕감에 중국유학생과 한국유학생 집단이 모두 유의미한 차이를 보였다. 둘째, 중국유학생과 한국유학생 집단이 문화적응 유형과 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 비교적 유사하게 나타났다. 중국유학생 및 한국유학생 집단이 모두 동화와 분리의 문화적응 유형과 심리적 안녕감 간에 거의 상관이 없는 것으로 나타난 반면, 주변화 문화적응 유형과 심리적 안녕감 간에는 상당한 수준의 역상관이 나타났으며, 한국유학생이 중국유학생보다 높은 역상관을 보였다. 셋째, 중국유학생과 한국유학생 집단에 있어 스트레스 대처방식과 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계에서 변인들 간 상관 양상이 비교적 유사하게 나타났으며, 중국유학생 및 한국유학생 집단에서 문제중심적 대처, 사회적 지지 대처, 소망적 사고 대처와 심리적 안녕감 간에 모두 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 문화적응 유형, 스트레스 대처방식과 심리적 안녕감 간의 관계에 있어서 중국유학생과 한국유학생 집단이 전체적으로 유사하게 나타났다.
The present study explored the relationship between acculturation types and stress coping styles to psychological well-being. And the other aim was to find out the differences among the above research variables of relations between Chinese students studying in Korea and Korean students studying in China.SPSS18.0 program was used in the present study to manage the data obtained from Chinese students in Korea and Korean students in China for reliability analysis, frequency analysis, t-test, correlation analysis and multiple regression analysis.The major findings were as follows: First, the difference in acculturation types, stress coping styles, and psychological well-being between Chinese students and Korean students was significant. Specifically, the level of assimilation for Chinese students was lower than that of Korean students and the level of separation and marginalization for Chinese students was higher than that of Korean students. Furthermore, the level of problem-focused coping for Chinese students was higher, and the level of wishful thinking coping for Chinese students was lower than that of Korean students. But the level of self-acceptance, positive interpersonal relationship, purpose in life for Chinese students was lower than that of Korean students.Second, there were similarities in the correlation between acculturation types and psychological well-being between Chinese students and Korean students. There was no relationship between assimilation, separation and psychological well-being for Chinese students and Korean students groups. However, a negative correlation between marginalization and psychological well-being was significant and this negative correlation was higher for Korean students.Third, it was similar in the correlation of stress coping styles and psychological well-being between Chinese students and Korean students. And the correlation of problem-focused coping, social support coping and psychological well-being was higher than that of wishful thing coping and and psychological well-being both in Chinese students and Korean students groups.Forth, the relationship between acculturation types, stress coping styles and psychological well-being was extremely similar between Chinese students and Korean students.
