Abstract
The purpose of this study was to provide basic data for developing a program to improve communication skills among basic vocational competences presented by the National Competency Standards (NCS). Participants in this study were 166 students from D University (2/3 years) in H-gu, B city. SPSS 21.0 (ver.) Was used for the analysis of the data, and descriptive statistical methods were used to calculate the frequency and percentage, and one-way batch analysis was used to calculate the mean, standard deviation, and F value. The results were as follows. First, the communication ability level of NCS-based college students was 3.12 using the 5-point Likert scale. Second, there was a high demand for the development of communication skills improvement program for NCS-based college students. Third, there was a high demand for gamification in terms of teaching-learning. Therefore, this study is meaningful to suggest an effective teaching method along with the necessity of development communication program for NCS-based College students.
