Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate characteristics of the journal of korean practical arts education using Korea citation index. The major findings in study were as follows. First, the KCI-IF in the journal of korean practical arts education have been on a gradual rise, although the previous two-year, three-year, four-year and five-year indices show a temporary decline. Second, the number of papers that were published in the journal of korean practical arts is 47.38 per year, but 65 (18.1 percent) of 359 papers published from 2011 to 2018 were not cited. Third, the journal of korean practical arts has an annual average number of self-citations 9.38 and an annual average journal self cited rate of 23.42 percent. Forth, journal immediacy index of the journal of korean practical arts education is 0.35 per annum.
