Abstract
This paper presents a novel distributed prescribed performance finite-time (PP-FT) control strategy designed for power dispatch optimization in islanded DC microgrids (MGs). The proposed strategy incorporates a cost optimizer and voltage regulator for ensuring the economical operation of MGs by harmonizing the incremental costs (ICs) of the distributed generation Units (DGUs) while maintaining the MG’s average voltage stability within an accelerated convergence timeframe. The distinctive feature of this control is adopting a prescribed performance function, which ensures that both the transient and steady-state behaviors of the MG adhere to predefined performance criteria, thereby elevating the system's reliability and operational efficiency. The proposed control strategy's validity is rigorously confirmed through a comprehensive stability analysis conducted within a finite time frame. Moreover, its adaptability and effectiveness are further illustrated via extensive simulation case studies, which highlight the strategy's capability to maintain superior performance across various operational conditions.
