This paper discusses about local knowledge of Kei People in Southeast Moluccas about boats. In Kei language, the boat is habo. Kei People in Southeast Maluku know several variants of habo, one of which is habo tetear discussed in this paper. The purpose of the research is to know and understand the local knowledge of Kei People, Southeast Maluku about habo tetear. The reason of the habo tetear culture was chosen for this study, because the research approach used ethnoarchaeological study, by giving priority to the ethnochemistry scholarly principles, with the technique of collecting interview data, observation and literature review. The results showed that the Kei's local knowledge in Southeast Maluku of habo tetear is the personification of a woman. Hence, the structure of the habo-tetear form resembles the body of a woman.
