Abstract
@@@@Bajikar et al. delete Mecp2 in adult mice to assess if molecular dysfunction precedes neurologic dysfunction related to Rett syndrome, independent of development or secondary pathogenesis. They found that MeCP2 acutely regulates the transcriptome and chromatin landscape and that molecular dysregulation preceded circuit-level or neurological dysfunction.
