Abstract
Highlights •Noble metal-modified Cu MOR catalysts were prepared and used in methane-to-methanol.•The methanol yield increased significantly to 157.36 μmol/gcat/h after Ru doped.•H-transfer process on the Ru site reduced the energy required for breaking C–H bond.•Doped Ru facilitated the adsorption of methane and the polarization of the C–H bond.
