Abstract
The article notes research on suicidal ideation and attempted suicide among 13- to 15-year-old Jordanian students. The study's design which used Jordan's 2004 Global School-based Student Health Survey and factors such as gender, grade, number of close friends, and bullying experience is discussed. The study found suicidal ideation was associated with students who had been bullied in the previous 30 days, who thought their parents did not understand them, and who had few or no close friends.
