Abstract
The article focuses on the history associated with Teotihuacan Valley where refugees and their descendants laid out an urban grid, dug an extensive irrigation network, and built the center Mesoamerica, now known as Teotihuacan. It mentions archaeologists unearthed shell ornaments and stone and ceramic figures, as well as murals depicting rituals and mythic event. It also mentions need of safe haven for refugees fleeing a natural disaster to a vibrant cosmopolitan center.
