Abstract
This article discusses underwater archaeological explorations of Lake Titicaca in Bolivia, which have uncovered a vast quantity of indigenous sacred objects. The author comments on the Andean Empire based at what is now known as the Tiwanaku site, which neighbors the lake. Ceremonial artifacts, carvings, and ceramic vessels, and their possible uses in religious customs are also detailed.
