Abstract
This article discusses the archaeological expeditions on the Micronesian island of Peleliu, which have uncovered findings related to the World War II battle that took place in September 1944. The author comments on the insight into American and Japanese soldiers' daily lives that these archaeological surveys have provided, including personal belongings, ammunition, and human remains.
