Abstract
The article focuses on the discovery of bound manuscripts of seventeenth-century Gregorian chants and Latin liturgies, along with deerskin parchments, found within a church in San Bartolo Yautepec, Oaxaca, Mexico, by musician Cicely Winter, director of the Institute of Oaxacan Historic Organs. It explores the studies done on the fragments by Brandeis University archaeologist Javier Urcid and philologist Sebastián van Doesburg of the National Autonomous University of Mexico.
