Abstract
The article explores evidence at several sites that shows that Vikings particularly the Viking Great Army settled in England and became a vital part of the country's fabric. Topics include the claim that Viking raiders have targeted the English coastline in raids since at least 793 when they attacked the monastery at Lindisfarne, the four Anglo-Saxon kingdoms where the Vikings spent years campaigning, and evidence of Vikings' victory revealed in Biddle excavations at Repton in 873-874.
