The article offers information on the oratorio "A Child's Requiem" composed by Steven Sametz, along with information on its first performance and considerations related to it. Topics discussed include the division of the opening chorus into several parts by Sametz, the introduction of tenor solo in the third movement, and the voice given to grief in the composition.
