Abstract
The article offers information on origin and history of Halloween. It mentions gathering of Celts to celebrate the end of the harvest season and celebrate the beginning of winter during which the evil things like dead spirits crossed over. It also mentions pranks played by children in Ireland and Scotland to carve up turnips put candles inside and place them along roads to scare travelers.
