신축성 스트레인 센서 응용을 위한 레이저 유도 그래파이트 필라멘트 전극 제작 및 전사 연구(Fabrication and Transfer of Laser Induced Graphite filament (LIGF) Electrodes for Stretchable Strain Sensor Applications) / This work reports a method of transferring flexible and stretchable laser induced graphite filament (LIGF) electrodes onto a PDMS substrate along with its fabrication method and potential application as a strain sensor. LIGF electrodes are fabricated by irradiating CO2 laser onto a polyimide(PI) film. Due to this concentrated high temperature (>2500°C) the bonds between C-O, C=O, and N-C are broken, releasing oxygen and nitrogen. This leaves only carbon on the surface of the polyimide film, which in turn is the LIGF electrode. The LIGF electrode is composed of carbon atoms with Sp2 bonds due to the light heat from the CO2 laser. The structure of this LIGF electrode is also a porous three-dimensional filament structure resulting in a higher surface area compared to traditional two-dimensional electrodes. However, LIGF electrodes have two challenges that they must overcome: 1) damage of the PI film due to the heat during fabrication and 2) easy degradation of the fabricated LIGF electrode during usage. To solve these two challenges, we report a method of transferring LIGF electrode onto a flexible and stretchable PDMS substrate and thereby protecting it from further damage and degradation. In this work we have compared different sheet resistances for different laser powers, thickness comparison before and after transfer, and the ratio of carbon, nitrogen, and oxygen within the LIGF electrode. In addition to the above, Raman spectroscopy and X-Ray Diffraction (XRD) were used to identify the electrode material. Results showed that sheet resistance was lowest, carbon ratio and LIGF electrode thickness were highest at a laser power of 8.9 watts. Raman spectroscopy of this particular electrode showed identical scatter spectrums to graphite. Furthermore, analysis of XRD results indicate hexagonal lattices with (002) planes. The LIGF electrode transferred to a PDMS substrate where designed in 3 different ways; square, serpentine, and fractal. Performance analysis of these LI
