Abstract
The article provides teaching tips on relating the language one is teaching to its history. Topics discussed include important and useful topics for contextualising the kind of English that people need, lessons or lesson themes that bring new content and understanding of the English language to upper intermediate and advanced learners of English, and sample activity plan that can be used as a model for various lessons.
