Abstract
The article discusses the environmental impact of offshore drilling. It contends the process presents ecological hazards including tons of chemical, oil-polluted water and excess chemical metal cutting which are dumped in the ocean, over the lifetime in a single oil rig. It also points the possible oil leakage as the oil transported by tankers across the ocean. In addition, it also concern of potential offshore oil rig explosion due to strong winds.
