Abstract
Considers the relationships between football players and football clubs, focusing on the disciplinary procedures taken against Ashley Cole for meeting Chelsea without Arsenal's consent when he was under contract to Arsenal. Considers the Premier League Rule K5 and comments on restraint of trade issues, including whether the restraint of trade was in the public interest. Comments on FIFA regulations on international transfers.
