Italian, 16th century, male. Born c. 1500, in Parma; died 1569, in Parma. Painter, fresco artist, draughtsman. Religious subjects, portraits. Murals. Parma School. Girolamo Bedoli had married Pier Ilario Mazzola's daughter whose name he adopted in 1542. He studied under his cousin by marriage Francesco Mazzola known as Il Parmigiano. He had one son, Alessandro Mazzola Bedoli, who was probably apprenticed to him and who in any case imitated his work....
