Abstract
The purpose of this research is to explore the educational possibilities of fostering creativity through dance education based on the values of ESD. The study primarily adopts a literature review approach based on Kim’s (2013) components of holistic contemporary dance education and Guilford’s (1956) perspective on divergent and convergent thinking. According to research results, it was shown that elements of convergent and divergent thinking can be cultivated in each component of ‘Kinesis’, ‘Noesis’, ‘Poesis’, and ‘Gnosis’ through dance education (Kim, 2013). The significance of this research is to investigate the potential of dance education to foster cultivate creativity for sustainability and to propose a theoretical foundation for systematization.
